Course Information

Our CTS Solar Installation Package consists of:

  • Introduction to Solar Installation qualification includes Manual Handling, Working at Heights/Harness Awareness and Introduction to Solar Installations
  • Solar Competency Programme (Roof Mount) qualification is a practical focussed course to provide proof of competency in the installation of solar panels for residential (slate and clay tiles) and commercial (including flat roofing) settings. In response to industry demands, this course is specifically designed for contractors including  Roofers, Scaffolders, Constructions Workers and Electricians seeking to expand their capabilities in response to industry demand.

For those who do no not have a CSCS Green Card, you will also need to complete a CITB Health & Safety Awareness course to work on-site.

Our Solar Installation Package is designed for personnel with current or planned solar panel installation capability requirements.

This bespoke training is ideal for contractors such as Roofing Contractors, Scaffolding Contractors, Electricians and organisations moving into the Solar Panel Installation industry, who need to provide proof of competency.

A general level of fitness/weight restrictions are required to fulfil the practical training requirements.

These courses do not have an expiry date, however we recommend they are refreshed every 2 years to remain compliant with new legislation and aware of the emerging technologies of this fast-paced sector.

Delegates will complete a series of practical activities with pass/fail assessments.

A CSCS Green Card is mandatory for everyone wishing to work on-site. For those who do no not have a CSCS Green Card, you will also need to complete a CITB Health & Safety Awareness course to work on-site. The CITB course adds an additional day of training to the course.
