Complete Training Solutions show the future is female as they appoint female Chief Operating Officer

Newly appointed COO of Complete Training Solutions, Danielle Kershaw

Liverpool-based construction and renewables training provider, Complete Training Solutions (CTS) have signalled the beginning of a new female era as they appoint Danielle Kershaw as Chief Operating Officer (COO). The appointment marks an – exciting new chapter for the specialist training provider, who has also recently welcomed a female Commercial Director to their Senior Leadership Team.

As COO, Danielle will be leading on the daily operations for CTS. Her extensive history of working with training providers, coupled with her passion for driving social mobility gave Danielle the competitive edge and the perfect candidate to drive Complete Training Solutions to the forefront of construction and renewables training in the UK.

Passion for driving social mobility

Prior to her appointment, Danielle worked for a sister company and fellow training provider, Innovative Alliance (IA) who are committed to supporting people to get back into work. Between her time at IA and her new role in CTS, Danielle dedicated her time to supporting people with mental health issues and still plans to set up her own Community Interest Company (CIC). As COO at CTS, Danielle plans to make mental health and wellbeing support a priority in the workplace, ensuring her team have the support systems in place if they are struggling, a focus which is especially relevant at this time, where mental health struggles are being widely reported across the media.

Reeling from the news of her appointment, Danielle said;

‘’I am so pleased to have been appointed COO for Complete Training Solutions.’’

She continued;

‘’Coming into the sector I had little prior experience of construction and renewables, but I was determined not to let that hinder my chances. I did my research, shared my vision, and gave a new perspective and it worked. Being appointed to a senior leadership role in a male-dominated industry is a huge leap forward for the sector, and I look forward to meeting more woman in the industry.’’

Boosting gender diversity in the industry

The appointment is a welcomed change for the training provider who are committed to helping boost gender diversity in the industry.

Globally, we have seen gender diversity in senior leadership roles evolve over the past few years as more and more women are – employed in senior leadership roles. Workplace dynamics are changing and paving the way for a new gender-diverse workforce.

The Progress Group – who are CTS’s parent company are no strangers to women in leadership. CEO Jayne Worthington,  Group Divisional Commercial Director Katy Baxter and Director of Marketing and Communications Sarah Keenan represent a powerful female presence within the business. The appointment of Danielle is a further testament to The Progress Group’s commitment to bridging the gender diversity gap in the workplace and signalling in a new female era.
