Course Information

The Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work qualification supports individuals to gain the skills and knowledge to perform First Aid in the workplace. There are no entry requirements for this course. This qualification is aimed at learners who wish to become emergency first-aiders in the workplace. This qualification meets the requirements for training emergency first-aiders in those organisations that have identified that staff need to be trained to this level within their first-aid needs assessment.

This qualification meets the requirements for training emergency first-aiders in those organisations that have identified that staff need to be trained to this level within their first-aid needs assessment.

Learners will gain cover several topics as part of the Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work Course, including the roles and responsibilities of a first aider, assessing an emergency situation safely, CPR and AED, administrating First Aid to a choking casualty, putting a casualty in the recovery position, and dealing with shock, burns, scalds, bleeds, and other minor injuries.

The Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work Course is regulated by Ofqual, CCEA, and Qualifications Wales.

The Highfield Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work qualification is valid for 3 years. After that, you will need to complete the course again to maintain your qualification.

The GWO First Aid Refresher Course will need to be undertaken every two years. This is to ensure delegates gain the most up-to-date understanding of first aid administration in the wind industry.
