Course Information

City and Guild’s Level 2 Award in Working in Medium Risk Confined Spaces Course equips delegates with the skills and knowledge to work safely in medium risk confined spaces. Learners will gain an understanding of the procedures and equipment required to perform their daily tasks safely. The confined space course (6160-09) will instil an awareness of the relevant industry standards for workers operating in medium risk confined spaces.

This course was formerly City & Guilds Certification ‘6150-52’.

Medium Risk Confined Space

Medium Risk Confined Space training courses at level 2 are suitable if you are new to the industry and you are looking to develop your skills.

Delegates will be exposed to real-world scenarios through practical learning methods. Learners will gain an understanding of the safety procedures required for entering and exiting medium risk confined spaces and gain an awareness of how to prepare and use the appropriate respiratory protective equipment (RPE).

The Confined Space Medium Risk Course is ideal for individuals who work in medium risk confined spaces. A medium risk confined space can be defined as a space where there are issues with access, this can include obstructions and challenges entering and exiting the space safely.

Level 2 Award in Working in Medium Risk Confined Spaces Course is assessed in a practical environment, using a confined space unit delegates will be evaluated on their ability to work safely in medium risk confined spaces, and respond appropriately to emergencies and challenges in confined spaces.

Delegates must bring with them a valid photographic ID (passport or driver’s license), and workbooks. Overalls will be provided on the day. Delegates must be clean shaven in order to comply with HSE PPE regulations.

Delegates who completed Level 2 Award in Working in Medium Risk Confined Spaces can work across a variety of industries. We advise that all delegates who complete the course apply for a green CSCS card, this will enable them to work across construction sites across the UK.
