The Basic Technical Training (BTT) course is the perfect pathway into the wind industry, and the best part is you don’t need any previous experience to complete the course!
Developed by GWO, the BTT standard is comprised of four modules, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and installation. The course is an entry-level qualification and will enable you to perform basic electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic tasks in the wind turbine environment under the supervision of a trained technician.
Whilst no previous experience is required to sign up to the course, previous knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems is a bonus!
In the wind industry, there are multiple mechanical roles that will see you supporting the mechanical development and maintenance of offshore and onshore wind farms. As an individual with experience in mechanics, your skills are transferrable to the wind industry.
