Who is the course suitable for?
The NEBOSH National General Certificate is designed to help those managers, supervisors and employees from all types of organisations who need a broad understanding of health and safety issues. This certificate will help them to manage risks effectively and build a safe environment within the company.

What is covered in the course?
This course aims to give managers and supervisors a comprehensive undersstanding of the essential health and safety principles including legislation and its practical applications. Delegates will learn how to identify work place hazards and how to prevent them.

After successfully completing the course delegates will be able to:

Manage risks effectively.
Understand the main legal requirements for safety in the UK.
Outline the key elements of health and safety management systems.
Understand a range of workplace hazards and methods of control.

What assessments are there?
Delegates will complete written assessments and a work based project completed after the couse.

Are there any entry requirements?
You must provide valid photographic ID such as a Passport or Driving Licence.
The course is run in English and as such you must have an appropriate level of fluency in order to participate.

What next?
This qualification meets academic requirements for Technical Membership (TechIOSH) of IOSH and Associate Membership (AIIRSM) of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM) It enables you to apply for Technician Membership of the Institute of Fire Prevention Officers (IFPO) and it also meets the academic requirements for Associate Membership (AMIFPO). Persons with the relevant skills and experience may also apply to join the IFPO Fire Risk Assessors Register.
