We are also able to give the advice needed to make sure your company falls within current legislation in whatever industry you may work. We have a vast knowledge within our team to assist in day to day operations or just the one-off audit you need to meet current requirements. Whatever your needs we can tailor-make a package to assist you.

What is your background?

I began working for the family business, a handmade ceramic tile company called Craig Bragdy Design based in Denbigh, North Wales from a young age. The company was established by my Grandmother in the 1950’s and now run by my father and uncle. The company designs, manufactures and installs handmade ceramic murals and luxury swimming pools worldwide (http://www.cbdpools.com). I initially worked on the factory floor, then as a pool fitter before moving into a Sales and Marketing role within the business.

“We have a vast knowledge within our team to assist in day to day operations or just the one-off audit you need to meet current requirements. Whatever your needs we can tailor make a package to assist you.”

I graduated from LJMU with a degree in Business Studies and spent a year of the degree working for IBM as part of their contract negotiation team working alongside AstraZeneca at their research facility in Macclesfield.

After graduating, I took a position at MediaCom, the world’s largest advertising agency, as media planner and buyer, planning campaigns and buying advertising space in national print and press for clients including GlaxoSmithKline and The Merlin Group.

I am now the Managing Director of Complete Training Solutions which capitalised on the demand for health and safety training for the offshore renewable energy industry and have since become a leader in construction and rope access training. Complete Training Solutions is now one of the leading providers health and safety training in the UK and can name industry leading organizations amongst their client base.

Where do you want the organisation to be in two years’ time?

CTS will continue to expand its course delivery into growth sectors such as offshore renewables and constructions as well as develop courses in new sectors where demand is expected to be high in the coming years namely nuclear and rail construction.

Our goal is to continue to lead industry in developing bespoke qualifications that are tailored to specifically suit our clients needs. We will also focus on expanding our footprint overseas, delivering essential safety qualifications at client locations abroad.

Could you suggest one thing to Government to help business growth – what would it be?

With the collapse of Carillion, we saw how a whole supply chain can be brought to its knees. SMEs often have to take huge financial risks in the way of extended payment terms in order to work alongside major organisations.

I would like to see the government support smaller organisations in the event of Tier 1 companies becoming bankrupt by implementing fines to bad payers and insurances on money owed.

What affect do you think Brexit will have on your business and the UK?

There are so many variables right now I think it’s impossible to answer this question, ha ha!

The world of offshore renewables is dominated by European countries such as Denmark, Germany and Holland, however the UK is the worlds leading provider of offshore wind so there is a dependency on each other to make Brexit work.

What do you do to relax away from the office? What hobbies do you have?

I love my sports, rugby and football. I’m a Manchester United season ticket holder which I’ve tended to keep to myself since moving to Liverpool in fear of being chased out of town.

I’m also lucky enough to be born in Wales so I spend lots of time outdoors in the hills mountains, this is where I do most of my relaxing.

Have you any hidden talents?

Some might not call it a talent once I’ve opened my mouth but I can sing quite a few songs in Welsh.

What would advise yourself if you were starting out in a career today?

Don’t doubt yourself, say yes to opportunities and keep working hard! When I let University, I wasn’t really sure what I wanted to do and was terrified that I wouldn’t find anything I liked or that I could succeed in. Luckily, I learned quickly that if you work hard and explore opportunities with an open mind, you will find a career path that you enjoy.
